Mother Earth looked down on her children and saw her children fighting. One child wanted what the other had and didn't care who was hurt in the process. The other child looked confused. He tried to help his brother man by making the best decisions possible. How was he to know his brother would hate him even more for trying to find resolutions and compromises.

Mother Earth couldn't understand how her children could be so very different. They started from the same place. One child was filled with hate, jealousy and contempt. The other child was filled with hopes, dreams, and laughter.

On September, 11, 2001 Mother Earth cried for both her children. One child celebrated in the streets like they had crushed a terrible evil. The other child cried from the destruction of lives. Thankfully, his spirit was never broken. His dream of freedom, hope, dreams and laughter continue.

And Mother Earth cried for her children because for a brief moment her children knew what it felt like to trade places.
